Jim Sims Head of Strategy and Development

Jim joined Ngage in March 2001 as one of its seven original employees. Over the years, he has developed a detailed understanding of a range of sources of business development income and the processes required to successfully exploit them. He also has a wealth of experience in designing and delivering a range of innovative business support and economic development projects, covering Public Procurement, Innovation, Enterprise, Sustainability and Rural Development issues. Prior to joining Ngage, Jim was General Manager of a private sector training company in the North East of England, Q Graduate Development, and Marketing Programme Manager for Graduate into Enterprise North East (GIENE). Both companies operated in the field of graduate recruitment, training and enterprise development. Jim has also had a stint in local economic development, in the North East of England, prior to which he gained a BA Hons degree in Industrial Design and a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. Jim is also an Alumni of Cranfield School of Management, a member of the Institute of Economic Development, a member of the Institute of Directors, a member of the Federation of Small Businesses and a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.
