Broadband exploitation grant
After the success of the first Broadband programme in 2005, the South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA) appointed Ngage to contract-manage the next phase.
Purpose:
The programme was designed to help SMEs utilise ICT in a number of different ways and move up the e-adoption ladder.
Approach:
Using our experienced marketing team and Business Link Advisers we were able to recruit over 180 customers who would utilise the exploitation grant, 2 customers who required specialist one to one ICT sessions and 164 generalist advice sessions. To be eligible for the £250 grant the customer needed to complete an application process and send in a quote for work they wanted to be implemented.
Outputs:
Due to over-achievement on the contract SEEDA were able to fund us for additional activities resulting in the following outputs:
- a total of 220 exploitation grants;
- 20 connectivity grants;
- 38 Specialist one to one ICT sessions;
- 204 generalist advice sessions.
By the end of March 2008, we had achieved 100% on all outputs and helped a number of businesses onto the e-adoption ladder or up the e-adoption ladder.
