PLATO: Sustain

PLATO: Sustain has been set up to help companies improve their business sustainability, encouraging them to feed this improvement through their supply chains and employees and adopt environmentally friendly behaviour.

Approach

There are ten groups across the South East Region. Groups in Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading and Gatwick are managed by Ngage. Each group has two Group Facilitators from large companies who have a track record of implementing sustainable business practices. Meeting over the two-year period, the groups will address a wide range of sustainable issues. The Group members share knowledge and experience to help support each other to take the strategic decisions necessary to improve their sustainability and grow their business. Data is collected at the start of the programme on Energy, Water, Fuel and Waste usage. This will be reviewed throughout the programme and will be a measured to record and track improved resource efficiency.

• 8 Large networking events organised
• 15 regional case studies developed
• 8 newsletters published
