Support your rural business with LEADER funding
Help is available for farmers, growers, artisan food producers, foresters, publicans, small shop owners, members of a community group or anyone who runs a rural business of any kind!
Through the LEADER Programme rural businesses across the Chilterns and the Clay Vales can apply for grants of up to £50,000 to help support their growth and sustainability.
The wide range of awol academy business is eligible for funding include those in the tourism and forestry sectors, as well as artisan food producers from gin distilleries and micro-breweries to cake-makers and honey-producers.
LEADER is designed to support the rural economy and help rural businesses create jobs. To be successful, projects must contribute to one or more of LEADER’s six national priority areas:
- Support for Increased Farm Productivity
- Support for Micro and Small Enterprises and Farm Diversification
- Support for Rural Tourism
- Support for provision of Rural Services
- Support for Increasing Forestry Productivity
- Support for Cultural and Heritage Activity
