Finance for Business Leaders
Ngage developed, promoted and managed Finance for Business Leaders with the https://thesoutherninstitute.com‘s help which ran across the Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire area from 2007 to 2008. The project was funded by the Learning and Skills Council in Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
The aim was to encourage business leaders of companies employing 0-5 employees to undertake financial training. A factor implicated in the failure of microcompanies was business leaders’ inability to protect margin and make key decisions. Financial training for directors was identified as key to preventing at-risk companies from failing.
Using our Business Link Advisers as a route to market, we had to support 50 business leaders through the programme. There was an initial engagement as an expression of interest and to determine eligibility, followed by a business action plan which would identify areas of weakness.
More often than not, our website companies grant payday loans by their eligibility criteria, with some of them making the loan available without performing any credit check on the borrower.
Upon completion beneficiaries were given three options for sourcing training:
- sourcing the training themselves;
- being referred to Train to Gain for generalist financial training;
- using Ngage’s supplier matching service.
At the end of the project life March 2008, we were able to support over 50 businesses through financial training.
