Supporting rural businesses, strengthening local communities
Businesses in rural locations are often the backbone of local communities and economies. However, their growth and sustainability are often hampered by poor connectivity - both physical and digital.
Some of Ngage’s most successful support activity has been designed specifically for rural businesses. We’ve worked with them on a one-to-one basis, helping them access the funding and advice needed to help them grow. We’ve also helped deliver new digital infrastructure programmes, ensuring rural businesses can connect to and use the latest technology.
Forge Coffee, a beloved independent coffee business, has opened its third location in West Northamptonshire with the help of a grant from West Northants Council.
The family unit behind Rectory Farm diversified their operations during the Covid-19 pandemic, establishing Wild and Furrow Ltd, which quickly became an award-winning oat drink producer.
Woody’s Firewood and Forestry Services is a business with deep roots in the timber and forestry industry. Now, the Towcester-based business is all set for another period of commercial growth thanks to grant support from West Northamptonshire Council and Ngage Solutions.
“This was the first time the Forestry Commission had used an external partner for grant delivery, and it was an extremely positive experience in terms of delivery, relationships, communications and achieving successful outcomes.”
- Kevin May, Forestry Commission
