The Low Carbon Workspaces online supplier directory offers a free listing for suppliers of energy related products and will be accessible to businesses applying for a Low Carbon Workspaces grant.

Low Carbon Workspaces offers grants of up to £5,000 to help improve the energy efficiency of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the Black Country. Projects eligible for funding include:

  • LED lighting and controls
  • Energy efficient boilers
  • Insulation and draught proofing
  • Heating and cooling controls
  • Motor and pump controls and drives
  • Compressed air systems
  • Voltage optimisation
  • Energy efficient equipment (including laptops, printers and servers)

What are the finer details?

Low Carbon Workspaces is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. SMEs can apply for a grant of between £1,000 and £5,000 to cover up to 33% of the cost of installing energy efficiency measures. Minimum project expenditure must be £3,000, there is no upper limit. Grants are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. SMEs includes social enterprises, charities, and private sector businesses.
